Hi Mary Lou,
I sent you an email to your msn account but I'm not sure you got it. I was wondering if you do private lessons. I live in Louisville and would love to learn so much more about the ukulele my great aunt Ellie gave me her Martin soprano uke and I'm slowly learning. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

As a former student, I want to thank you for fulfilling a "thing I want to do before I die". I learned to play the ukulele just a few years ago, although I had one as a child. It has led me to learn several other stringed instruments. I am working on the guitar now.

Mary Lou as you may be aware, I can play a little music myself but I was truly inspired by your music. I can't wait to torment Hillary with my uke playing. Maybe I'll play ukulele at her Presidental Ball.
Thanks
Bill

Being an alumni of Bellarmine (1969) I was pleasantly surprised to learn about you. I was always interested in music but thought my talents did not lie there. Then a year ago a friend introduced me to ukulele. I now think that maybe there is hope for me.

I originally clicked on you just because of the "STOUT THING" but I think that my younger sister Pammy Stout would really like to hear more about how to pick a Uke. Looking forward to reading the Easy Baritone guide.

Hello Mary Lou,
I just purchased Mel Bay's Easy Baritone Ukulele and read your bio. You're an inspiration to me. I absolutely love ukulele and I'm hoping to become a decent uke player. My family owned a uke in the 40's and I rediscovered my love for it on a visit to Hawaii. Have you ever heard "IZ" play? Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.
Do you ever teach in the Tampa Bay area of Florida? Anyway, I am happy I discovered you and your site. Thanks.

Dear Mary Lou,
Just a note to thank you again for the wonderful CD's. I thought you might not accept my check and I had planned to repeat my "fib" and say that the school would reimburse me but couldn't say it in "church".
As I mentioned the kids love your music and I can't wait to tell Sister that you wrote the last song. Sister Mary Joyce is a Benedectine sister and records.
See you on Saturday. My best to Shane and your Dad. I'm glad that your Dad is doing so well.

I'm getting very interested in ukuleles. I've just bought one, although it hasn't arrived yet. Their reported "ease of play" has drawn me in. I'm a very good singer, but have not done real well accompanying myself and if the ukulele is the instrument I've been looking for, lo, these many years, well- Glory Hallelujah!
God Bless,
Aloha,
Sherry

I am interested in getting involved with the ukulele again now that I have more time to spend with it. I recently located all the materials I got from the class I took around 2000 and hope to start practicing on my own. I would, however, like to retake your classes when you offer them.

Your website is so enjoyable. I was able to hear the clips of "Saints God Marching In" and "Angel of God". The latter song sounds like an accessible setting of a favorite prayer.
God bless you, Mary Lou.
